Our educational trips, such as this trip to the Botanic Gardens, assist in deciding the content of project work in the learning groups. Annual trips are organised by a working party comprising of tutors and students.

BOOK LAUNCH

2012: Thursday 14th June, hosted by Ballymun Library. "Embarrassed? I'm Scarlet!!" a collection of stories that students wrote, about their embarrassing moments, was launched by TV3 personality Mark Cagney in the presence of the Lord Mayor, Andrew Montague. Book Launch

2010: Thursday 10th June, hosted by Ballymun Public Library, "Changing Times" was launched by RTE presenter Anne Doyle in the presence of the Deputy Lord Mayor Cllr John Lyons. Over 200 attended the launch and celebration. The book is available in the City Dublin public libraries.  

 

2008: Thursday 19th June. Hosted by Ballymun Library.
"Festivals and Traditions From Near and Far" a collection of stories and poems from the participants in the Read and Write Scheme, including some from our International students.  Claudia Carroll launched the book with Julia Carmichael representing the Lord Mayor. Over one hundred people attended a wonderful celebration, where four of the writers read their stories.
