As the national awarding body for further education and training in Ireland, the Further Education and Training Awards Council (FETAC) gives people the opportunity to gain recognition for learning in education or training centres, in the work place and in the community. It is portfolio based assessment, not exam. The Scheme offers FETAC Awards up to level four on the National Framework of Qualifications. |
Junior Certificate |
The Scheme offers English and History at ordinary level. The groups receive fifty six hours tuition from September to May. The State exam is in early June. This award is at level three of the National Framework of Qualifications. |
Waterford Institute of Technology: WIT |
The tutor training course is a module in the National Certificate in Literacy Development awarded by WIT/NALA. "Literacy Methodologies 1". It is level six in the National Framework of Qualifications. |
